What you need from SmartCash

Ask your SmartCash provider for access to a SmartCash Everywhere REST Server and these details:

The password is encrypted when saved and is never shown again.

Tip

Without an object cache, every stock sync clears the cache of the whole site. On shared hosting, ask your host’s support to change PHP limits.

Install the plugin

1. Upload the brl-smartcash-sync folder to wp-content/plugins/, or upload the zip under Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

2. Activate it from Plugins.

3. You are taken to the guided setup, Configurare ghidata, once. You can open it again later from SmartCash Sync > Configurare ghidata.

The guided setup

The setup has five steps: Server, Conexiune, Mod, Import and Finalizare. Nothing is written to the database until step 5, with one exception: a connection that tests successfully is saved at step 2, so step 3 can ask the server for the shop list.

1. Verificarea serverului (server check). A table with your PHP version, memory limit, extensions, WooCommerce version, max_execution_time, cron and object cache. Green is fine, amber needs a look. Internal WP-Cron does not block the setup.

2. Conexiune SmartCash REST API (connection). Fill in URL server REST, Utilizator API, Parola API, ID aplicatie and Numar magazin, then click Testeaza conexiunea. A working connection shows “Conexiune reusita” with the number of shops found. You cannot continue until the test passes.

3. Mod si magazine (mode and shops). Choose Total or Preferential. Click Incarca lista to load the shops from SmartCash, then tick the shops whose stock should count on the site. The list of preferential codes is added later, from the Sursa tab.

4. Ce poate actualiza sincronizarea (what the sync may update). Choose which fields are overwritten on existing products, the sync intervals, Auto-publica la stoc, Retragere SEO graduala and the import filters. See Sync.

5. Gata de lansare (ready). A summary, a short guide to setting up a server cron and hosting recommendations. Click Finalizeaza configurarea. The settings are saved and the automatic tasks are scheduled.

After the setup

• Open SmartCash Sync > Dashboard to see the automatic tasks and their last results.
• If you chose Preferential, add your codes under Sursa. See Preferential codes.
• Set up a server cron so the sync runs on time. See External cron.

Moving from MagiStock Pro

SmartCash Sync is the new name of MagiStock Pro. If the plugin finds MagiStock Pro data when it is activated, it shows a notice with the button Migreaza datele acum. The migration copies settings, product links, shops and preferential codes to the new plugin, so products already imported are recognised and not imported again as duplicates. It deletes nothing and runs only once. Remove the old data yourself once everything works.
