Cookie

The cookies brainrune.com sets and why each one is needed.

Last updated 17 October 2026

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page lists the ones brainrune.com sets and why. All of them are needed for the site to work, so, under Article 4(5) of Law 506/2004 and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, they do not need your consent and we show no cookie banner.

Cookies we set

  • wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*: keep you signed in to your account. They last for your session, or up to 14 days if you choose to stay signed in.
  • wp_woocommerce_session_*: remembers your basket and checkout details between pages. Up to 2 days.
  • woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart: tell the site whether your basket has changed, so the basket icon shows the right count. Until you close the browser.
  • wordpress_test_cookie: checks that your browser accepts cookies before you sign in. Until you close the browser.
  • wp-settings-*: remember display preferences in your account area, for signed-in users only. Up to 1 year.

The payment page may load cookies from our payment provider, needed to take the payment securely and prevent fraud. They are set only when you pay.

What we do not use

No advertising cookies, no social media cookies and no cross-site tracking. Visits are counted with Umami, which runs on our own server and sets no cookies at all. More about it in the Privacy Policy.

Turning cookies off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the ones above, signing in and the basket will not work, but you can still read the site.

Changes

If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly needed, we will ask for your consent before setting it and list it here first.
