Google Consent Mode v2
Google Consent Mode v2 for WordPress, in a cookie banner that holds tracking until the visitor says yes, with embeds that wait and a GDPR request form. Refusing takes one click, the same as accepting.

Brainrune Cookie Consent is a cookie banner plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce sites that sell or advertise in the EU. It holds tracking scripts and embeds until the visitor says yes, passes the answer to Google through Consent Mode v2, and makes refusing one click, the same as accepting. The free plugin calls no outside service.
Asked once, respected everywhere.
The banner sets the answer, and the rest of the site reads it: Google, Pixel Tracking, embeds and any script you mark.

What waits for the visitor's yes?
Google tags read Consent Mode. Pixel Tracking waits on its own. Embeds and order attribution wait until the visitor allows them, and Pro holds the usual tracking, chat and ad scripts by itself.
Pro knows these by their script address and holds them until the right category is allowed, with no changes to your code. Payments and spam checks stay on, so checkout and forms keep working. Anything else can wait too: mark a script with type="text/plain" and data-brl-consent, and it starts once that category is allowed.
Free asks and respects Pro finds what you missed.
Nothing on the free screens is locked. Pro is a separate plugin, and Pixel Tracking Pro includes it.
A Pixel Tracking Pro licence turns on Cookie Consent Pro too. A Cookie Consent Pro licence covers Consent only.
How much does Pro cost?
In euro. The price you see is what you pay.

Does it block Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel?
With Pro, yes: it knows their script addresses and holds them until the visitor allows the category. On the free plugin, tags added by Pixel Tracking wait on their own, Google tags read Consent Mode, and a script you pasted by hand waits once you mark it with type="text/plain" and data-brl-consent.
Will it work with my page cache?
Yes. The page is the same for every visitor, so LiteSpeed, WP Rocket, Cloudflare and others can cache it. The visitor's choice is applied in the browser.
Which mode should I use?
Opt-in, if you sell to anyone in the EU or the EEA. Opt-out and Notice only let tracking start before the visitor chooses, which is not valid consent there.
Does it send data anywhere?
No. The choice is kept in one first-party cookie for 180 days by default, and the free plugin talks to no external service. Pro adds one call: its licence check with brainrune.com. The cookie scan reads only your own pages.
I have Pixel Tracking Pro. Do I need Cookie Consent Pro?
No. A Pixel Tracking Pro licence turns on Cookie Consent Pro on the same sites. Cookie Consent Pro alone is for stores that only need the banner and the blocking.
